Greetings, friendly friends!

I have been working on a project for the past few weeks and I can finally say that it is done!  Unfortunately, it is a video project, so there is no way for me to upload it here to DA.  So, if you don't mind browsing away from DA for a few minutes to check it out, I would really appreciate it!

Before I provide the link, here's a little description.  I love Mass Effect.  Even more to the point, I love Tali'Zorah!  While listening to Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" on the radio at work one day, I realized that the lament of the girl in the song was quite similar to that of my dear, beloved Tali.  However, "quite similar" was not good enough for me, so I wrote my own rendition of the lyrics in order to better match it to the character.  Once that was done, I enlisted the help of my sister to provide the new vocals and got to work on creating a video to go along with it.  I mean, in this day and age, what's a song without a video, right?

Greetings to all my friends, family, and subscribers!

First of all, allow me to apologize for the lack of activity that this account has seen (or, rather, hasn't seen) as of late.  I've had a bit of a bout of un-creativity for a while, but I'm hoping to change that in 2012.  I shall be making one of my New Year's resolutions to create and post more artwork to my page.  Thank you for your patience during this dry spell and be sure to stay tuned in the coming months to see what I have in store.

So, with that out of the way, I do have a bit of news.  VegettoEX, the groovy cool kat over at Daizenshuu EX www.daizex.com/ , had put out a call for an image to use on his blog post titled "The Great Canonical Debate" www.vegettoex.com/blog/2011/12… over on his personal blog, WTF EX.  Upon hearing the call to arms, I was immediately inspired and cranked out the requested image in record time.  Sure, it's just a Photoshop collage, but I still like it and it's still the image that VegettoEX ended up using in the post.  That justifies the fact that I didn't actually draw it, right?

Anyway, I just wanted to give a shout-out to VegettoEX for liking my silly "shoop" enough to use it and, also, for being kind enough to link the image back here to my DA page.  You're a stand-up guy, good sir!  It's a pleasure to help you out when you need a silly picture!

In closing, I just want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!  I appreciate every single one of you more than you know.  The fact that you all have enjoyed my silly scribbles enough to be reading this right now means the world to me.  I hope you all get everything you asked Santa Claus for!  Until next time, happy drawing!

To anyone who might have seen the most recent submission to my gallery, you'll know the story of the origin of that picture.  For the rest of you, I'll recap it here a bit:

Over on the ultimate Dragonball fansite, Daizenshuu EX www.daizex.com/ , they have a podcast that they record every week.  On last weeks episode, # 152, they were talking about the name puns in Dragonball and eventually came up with the silly idea of what it would look like if two VERY different characters, Appule and Paragus, were to fuse together.  So, seeing this as the perfect challenge, I threw together a little picture of what that end result might look like.  Enter: Appuragas!

Once the picture was finished, I sent it over to the fine folks at the site.  I was hoping that they would get a kick out of it...and they did!  Needless to say, I was completely shocked to go to their site the other day only to see MY ARTWORK ON THEIR FRONT PAGE!  And, to top it all off, they were nice enough to link the picture there to my DeviantArt page.  Do they rock or what?!?

So, I would just like to thank Mike, Meri, Julian, and especially Jeff (since it was his idea), for being my muses and for enjoying my artwork enough to grace their front page with it.  You guys (and gal) are awesome.  I would also like to thank all the people who have fav'd the picture due to its appearance on Daizenshuu EX's site.  I will be sure to update my page more frequently in order to keep all of you entertained.

UPDATE:  So, I've listened to Daizenshuu EX's most recent podcast now; episode # 153 www.daizex.com/general/podcast… , be exact.  I am SO tickled pink right now.  The gang on the podcast were so amazingly complimentary of my piece it has had me giggling all day.  Definitely give them a listen, even if it's just to hear the beginning part of them talking about my artwork.  Of course, I recommend listening to the entire thing...and all transmissions they make from here on out.
